Yeah this was my backup pairing for the dessert I made last night: butterscotch pudding with candied bacon. Went with a Muscat but this would have been great too. On its own a little too smoky oak.

Ik had deze een stuk beter verwacht eerlijk gezegd. Proef wat caramel, vijgen, rozijnen. Klein bittertje en zuurtje. Bourbon zit er ook wel in, beetje hout, beetje vanille. Maar knalt er niet echt uit ofzo.

Does seem like it may be starting to go a bit off. A bit of a tart finish that probably shouldn't be there. Raisins and grain are present, but muted. Still drinkable, but mediocre as a barleywine.
