Irish

July 2020 vintage. May be a strong ale, but this is all sour. Dark black pour, no head/lacing. Sour nose with a slight malty chocolate. The ale, flavors then taken over the palate by the sourness. It is ok, but would not have again.

Intriguingly dark with a restrained tartness that’s balanced with oaky flavours and some dark plums or prunes. The acidity makes is refreshing rather than bracing. A nice sipper.
