I love that this is a jet-black, heavy stout with a huge mouthfeel, but isn’t gloopy or super sweet. Instead there is a lot of black molasses, dark chocolate, bourbon barrel, and some fruitiness like dried figs. Or maybe it’s cognac?

Not at the level of the BBT. Felt less immense cohesive balance of the signature SP oakiness of barrel aging . Couldn’t really discern the cognac much . Somehow was hoping for some bourbon and stout sweetness . Felt less luxurious than most SP I have had

Barrel bomb. Noticeable rye spice and dark fruit influences from the cognac. Unsurprisingly didn’t get the bourbon influence as much. Very nimble on the palate and disappeared from the glass quickly.
