Still think this was a stellar year for BBT. Having just had 22 and 21, I have no clue why folks think it fell off in 23. Deep barrel flavors, lovely chocolate and dried fruit. Excellent.

Intense, super dark malts, rugbrød, minty old rye whisky, surprisingly little sweetness, roasty, but not very bitter. Elegant, but not in the sweetness-forward way most stouts are these days. Hard to rate because it’s so different, but it’s great!

Well, this seems like as good of beer as any to end it on! It was good, super boozy, and had legs like I’ve never seen (three years in the barrel will do that)! Sweet but very well balanced. That being said at $150/btl its not 10x better then CBS or BCBS
