11/2024 can. Had this on draft at release but this is my first go at a can. Impressive head, but it fizzles down pretty quickly. Steady collar and surface foam in glass. Nose of bready toffee, dark chocolate, hint of spice. Palate follows, with molasses.

16.3% ABV 11/01/24 07:16:30. This is a beer that I could just smell for a while. So good. Thick caramel boozy oak tannins vanilla. Very pungent/strong. Oh dang. With SMS smoked pulled pork for pulled pork day!

11/1/24 the rye was expected, the viscosity was not. Whiskey soaked, dried, dark fruit. Tanned leather, dates, prunes. Finish is molasses. Very complex and contemplative. 🤔🥃

4.6+. One of the best barley wines I've had. Though gotta call out Jackie O's brick kiln. Not as hyped, but classy. This one is smooth, sweet but not cloying, woodsy, caramel, nuanced, raisin, more wood, sharp rye.

Well, this makes it less to take home. Nice to meet up with Arne Slot L. This is unlike anything I’ve had before. Definitely strong with the rye. A bit boozy, but should be with this ABV. Maybe a bit of caramel coming through.

Incredible. Boozy rye spice with raisin, a touch of cherry, and wood spice. Very smooth. A touch sweet but not pastry and I suspect that will tone down with time.
