When I ordered this I thought it was macaron…I was pleased to learn it was macaroon! I wasn’t sure I wanted a meringue flavored stout!! This is strong stout with cloying caramel & just a hint of coconut…I like more coconut in my macaroon and my macaron!

The cacao here is very well done, comes off as very chocolatey without any of that dry bitterness I usually get. Picking up the coconut. Adjuncts here are very mild. Was worried the ginger would overpower. Great balance. Good hit of barrel as well.

I pink up the coconut and chocolate right away, but I don't detect any ginger, which isn't a bad thing imo. It's boozy yet nice and sweet. Though I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't include any sort of cookie/biscuit adjunct to round it all out.

I think that all of these need time to simmer in the bottle. Too much like the original with a bit of coconut at the end. Not complaining, but it’s not like it’s much better than the original stock. That’s pretty solid.

BCBS w/ added cocoa nibs, candied ginger & toasted coconut. Notes of cocoa, vanilla, molasses, oak, coconut & hint of ginger (thinking those that aren’t ginger fans will get more ginger). This is a beautiful variant to the BCBS line. Last vacation sunset

I drank this across 2 days. Day 1: similar to last year's bananas foster variant in that the abundant sweetness slightly overpowers the trio of flavors (and the oak). Day 2: dark ccocoa notes and less sweet. Was it just my palate or did the resting help?
