Hopfen: Saphir. Malz: Pilsener, Karamellmalz. With Colonia, BraufactuM brings traditional Rhenish bitters to life once more. The special hoppy aroma can be attributed to large hop additions in both the brew house and the storage tanks. For Whirlpool and dry hopping nly the rare Hallertauer Saphir hop is used. Mit Colonia lässt BraufactuM die Tradition der Rheinischen Bitterbiere wieder aufleben. Mit einer hohen Hopfengabe im Sudhaus, aber auch in den Lagertanks, wurde sowohl die höhere Bitternote als auch das ganz besondere Hopfenaroma erzeugt. Die seltene Hallertauer Hopfensorte "Saphir" verleiht diesem Bier seine besondere Aromatik.
