This year we invite you to taste our Yule Log. Most people know this as a cake, but actually it's origins lie in Pagan ceremonies. Where people gathered around the fire to spend the darkest days of the Midwinter Solstice together. You may not find tree bark ashes too appealing, so we chose to go with the cake flavors instead. We drew inspiration from the classic chocolate cake, but made it more Moersleutel. Added extra doses of orange peel, cardamom and fennel seeds during boil, only to be topped up with copious amounts of chocolate, tonka beans and vanilla. Get ready for the ultimate blend of sweet and spicy. A creamy, festive, thick delicacy for your holiday cravings. Have a good one!
