Oloroso sherry barrel-aged traditional mead with wildflower- and caramelized heather honey. Traditional Tales is a limited series of barrel-aged traditionals where the barrel is the main author. Quality honey, booze and oak melds together to create a sweet, complex concoction made for sipping. ----------------------- Oloroso Odyssey (2022) ----------------------- Sweet, caramelly and earthy heather honey combined with slightly oxidative notes of dried fruit. This is one for those with a sweet tooth! Some bright, toasty and nutty flavors in the middle section. Before it ends on a firm, bittersweet note with notes of caramel, dried fruit, flowers and eucalyptus. The deep, malty and caramel flavors of the caramelized heather honey added gives the mead some resemblance to a barley wine.
