This blend of fresh and barrel-aged Stout has notes of vanilla bean, fresh crushed cacao, and toasty chocolate malt. In order to create a stout that forgoes extended barrel aging to mellow its character, we brewed a scaled-down version of Truth and blended it with threads from our cellar. The result is Half Truth, a deceptively rich and robust stout. Notes of vanilla bean swirl with aromas of fresh crushed cacao and toasty chocolate malts.This beer is a wonderful introduction to the world of fresh and barrel-aged stout, while also serving as a bridge, worthy of endless inspection for the well initiated.
