Very last Porch of the Whelpley Era. Tagging all porch brethren. Surprisingly decent for a 17 year old 8.5% beer. Figs, cherries, malt. Smelled like oxidation, but none on the quaff.

LCi by a few days: 7 February 2009. Me & Dave (RIP) at Chesterfield Beer Festival. Getting late in the day and all sense of sense had gone One cask left from 2008 so listed as a LocAle. Heavy duty ale, rich and sweet. Loved it a fair bit I noted

Weight and alcohol. Some sweetness, lacks both fruit and flavour though. Almost no aroma, such a contrast from the older vintages suggests a leak or something.
